The Environment Team are working with Hulme Community Garden Centre over the summer to deliver Woodland Workshops at Birley Campus.
The Community Woodland at Birley is an area for everyone to relax and reconnect with nature, whilst creating a sanctuary for wildlife, an area for urban foraging as well as an educational resource.
Staff are invited to get involved with the woodland this summer as a team building activity.
Each workshop lasts for two hours (1.30pm to 3.30pm) and will include aspects of plant identification, urban foraging and planting.
These activities are suitable for everyone and provide excellent and varied opportunities for socialising and bonding whilst enjoying the outdoors, discovering nature and learning new skills on campus.
At the end of each session, your team will receive a certificate and a packet of seeds for each participant.
The dates over summer are:
- 5 July
- 6 August
- 23 August
- 6 September
