Gardening Session with Hulme Community Garden Centre

As part of this year’s Engage Week, a week long programme of diverse activities for staff at Manchester Met, the Environment Team are hosting a gardening activity on campus.

With the guidance of our friends at Hulme Community Garden Centre, we will be doing some general maintenance of the raised-planters in the John Dalton garden and harvesting some of the edible produce.

The planters previously belonged to the Urban Gardening Society, which has since disbanded, these have since been left wild which is great for biodiversity but they still require a bit of maintenance now and again. If you would be interested in helping us to maintain these in the future, please contact bigimpact@mmu.ac.uk

The workshop is an opportunity to learn more about garden maintenance and benefit from being outside and active. No skills level needed and you are welcome to stay for as long as you wish.

Open to all staff at Manchester Met, please register via myHR search code GARDEN.
